Air Conditioned trains planned for the Underground

Four of our Tube Lines are to get air conditioned trains by the end of 2009. The Circle, Metropolitan, District and Hammersmith & City are all ear marked for the new work. There are also plans for a new signalling system to be put in place as well as track renewal. The upgrade of these lines are to be the next stage for the renewal and improvement of the London Underground System.

There are also plans for two of the lines (Circle and Hammersmith & City) to increase there carriages from Six to Seven and this is also planned for the District line between Edgware Road and Wimbledon.

So at long last we will see some improvement when traveling on the Underground.
