We have a placement within London Underground for a Mechanical Design Engineer working within London Underground working as the clients (London Underground) engineer on the cooling the tube Programme. This is a pioneering programme of work on 100 underground stations across London. Consequently the day to day role is varied, interesting, challenging and at time demanding as there is no one solution fits all scenario. This is a fantastic opportunity for quality candidates to further develop their skills and knowledge and gain some unique experience on a very high profile international programme of work, as the programme gathers momentum we are looking to bring in more staff.

The design work on CTP is contracted out to external consultants. The role of the Senior Mechanical Engineer is to:

• Oversee, review and guide the consultant's design work ensuring it meets LUL specifications
• Ensure tecnical and professional accuracy of this work
• Actively participate in design review forums

A strong mechanical design (HVAC) background is essential. A rail/LUL background is desirable but not essential.
